Mecklenburg County Solid Waste Management published a 27 page booklet for its "Wipe Out Waste" 2011-2012 campaign: www.wipeoutwaste.com. Included are ways to recycle at home, apartments, condos, townhomes, drop off centers, household hazardous waste, tips, business/commercial recycling, school recycling, composting, grasscycling, construction and EVENT recycling, waste reduction information, litter prevention, and citizen involvement.

Items too large to be placed in a rollout cart can be scheduled for collection. To be eligible for this service, you must currently receive garbage collection from the city. When calling let them know how much extra you have for pickup.
