Daylight Savings Time: Reminder to Spring Ahead

The Organized Family Notebook

Imagine having all your important family information well-organized and in an easy to use and maintain format.  Schedules, calendars, addresses, emergency medical data, babysitting information, shopping and to-do lists.  All those important things that clutter your kitchen counter, cover your refrigerator and are never where you need them, can find a happy home in The Family Notebook.

With a few basic office supplies and a couple of hours of time, you can have a notebook that is tailored expressly for your family.  The beauty of the notebook is that by design, it is easy to customize and easy to update and maintain.

A sturdy, 3-ring binder, divider tabs and clear sheet protectors will do the trick.  Tabs can be labeled by hand, or using a label maker.  Information should be organized by sections.  Contents in each section are housed in sheet protectors to keep them clean and in place.  For frequently used pages, punched holes quickly tear and the notebook begins to fall apart.  The sheet protectors also make it easy to replace outdated pages with new ones.

The big office supply stores stock everything you’ll need, but for a great selection of unique supplies, visit Carolina Pad at carolinapad.com.

The Family Notebook will make your life easier.

Spring Cleaning Garages & Attics

Projects in garages and attics are reserved for the Spring and Fall months, when the temperatures are conducive to working in non-climate controlled areas.
March, April and May are prime times to organize your garage, tool shed or attic, and if you are planning on using Simplicity for any of these spaces, please give us a call now to schedule your needs assessment.  Remember, we can also supply the wire shelving and clear, lidded containers that can transform your storage areas from messy to marvelous.

Simplicity Kids Program

Simplicity Kids is an organizational program designed to empower children to create order in their home and learning environments. Through differentiated and customized systems, children will acquire essential lifelong organizational and time management skills.

The Simplicity S-I-M-P-L-E and T-I-M-E methodologies are grounded in the gradual release model of responsibility, which includes assessments, direct instruction, guided practice, and independent work.  This model enables children to discover the benefits of organizing, the necessary skills required, and the application of the skills to a variety of areas in their lives.

The goal of Simplicity Kids is to provide children with the tools and strategies needed to create useful and enduring systems that reduce anxiety, increase confidence, and generate success.  By working one-on-one with Simplicity Coaches, children will acquire organizational and time management skills.  Through a variety of assessments and activities children will identify their strengths, interests, and preferred learning and organizational styles.
